Since Marvin’s in Manila right now, the only communication means that we have aside from cellphone is through the Internet. But chatting an hour a day still isn’t enough for me not to miss him. In fact I think it actually makes me miss him more.
Last night was no different. Right from his training he headed to an Internet café near his sister’s home for us to chat. We talked about usual stuff at first; how’s our son, how’s training, when he’s coming back. Suddenly I just felt like snapping at him for talking about things we’ve been talking about for days. I wanted to talk about something new (and probably promising).
And so we ended up talking about our plans for the future. When we would get married, where we will live, and where our son would go to school.

What I love talking about the most is the where we will live part. I mean you know, everyone seems to have a dream house. Mine’s living in a simple bungalow house painted in white. Adorned with classic bedroom furniture for us to sleep in at night, installed with chic bar furniture for our guests. Oh I would sure love it most if it’s from Highland Design Furniture
.
Marvin was talking about a spacious lawn for us to have camping when the moon is full; setting up a tent there and go star gazing.
How I love to talk about the future!

Wow! Time flies so fast, indeed. Who would’ve thought it’s already a year since I gave birth to the cutest and smartest boy in the world (ahem). I could still remember the pains and troubles I had while conceiving my Vincent Jeremy. And last May 6 he just celebrated his first birthday. - the simple way.
Well there haven’t been much of a preparation since there’s nothing much to prepare as he just came out from the hospital a week before the ‘big’ day. It wasn’t extravagant but it’s nonetheless special; Marvin missed two days of his training in Manila to attend our son’s special day. Aside from that, my sister from Davao, Pling-pling had her vacation with us. So it was double the fun.
There was a children’s party in the afternoon and an intimate dinner with only our family and close friends as guests.
However, spoiling the event was my father who went home so late as he quite didn’t feel like having fun with us.
Anyway, what matters most is that Boom-boom seemed to have a great time celebrating his birthday with his daddy.
See more photos here.

I’m a typical mom when it comes to my son. - I want everything glamorous and at its best! And because my son’s 1st birthday is coming up, i’ve long planned for a fabulous and beautiful party for him. It is after all his first birthday party. I planned for an expensive and chic birthday cake, a fab venue, a lot of friends and guests invited, cute giveaways, and everything that comes with it. Oh, the thought of grandeur and extravagance!

However, just a week before my son celebrates his first birthday an unexpected thing happened, he was rushed to the hospital due to severe vomiting. He stayed at the hospital overnight and had been under observation by his doctor. Fortunately or unfortunately there was no findings to explain his condition, and that means I paid for the hospital bill for nothing! (GRRR!) And that of course goes to say that the budget alloted for his birthday was spent on his hospitalization.
So for his birthday this Tuesday? We’ll just have to settle for whatever resources we have. In the end, none of my plans (and fantasies) about his birthday is feasible now.
Well the most important thing is he is okay now.

I guess being Narcissists is a ‘genetic’ thing. But on second thought, ain’t it something that everybody has in them (secretly for some)?
Last Monday, my sisters, Reggie, Mimi, and I indulged ourselves with photo sessions that of course featured the ‘inner models’ in us. We dressed, we made up, and had fun posing and ‘imagining’. Well what can we do, we’re a bunch of self-obsessed siblings.
Here’s what a few of what we had:

Nah, that ain’t news anymore. The whole world actually knows how I am head over heels with my son. In fact I fall in love with him more and more as days pass by.
As he learns more tricks everyday, like the pa-cute and the strong look, my heart melts with love. I am a proud mom as he learns new words everyday; for a ten-month old, he can now speak burd (bird), tsiktsik (chiken), ba-bay (bye), hi, kaat (cat), and of course the names of the people in our household. What makes me more proud is that Boom-boom can now walk several steps without any support. He can easily comprehend things now and express his emotions, too.
Gosh, I sure am a proud mom!
If only he is here to witness our son’s faster development and show of intelligence…
We miss you Daddy…

It has been about 27 hours since I last saw him. We went to the mall to spend some quality time together with our son. – His last day before he flies to manila for his month-long training. He texted this morning to inform me he’s already heading to the airport, then messaged again when he arrived, now he just informed he’s doing fine in his sisters home.
And I’m here doing this blog, thinking of him, and missing him.
This is actually the first time we’d ever get separated for a relatively long period since we’ve been together two years ago.
God I miss him.
I don’t know what coming days will be. I’ve grown such dependency on him already; ask him to come with me wherever I go, chat online every day and night, and watch him play with our son every afternoon.
Now I will have to survive a month of loneliness and longing.
I miss you luv, come back soon..

This review is actually long over due. I’ve seen the movie two weeks ago with my best pals, Claire and Grace but I wasn’t able to write about for the sole reason that I’ve been busy.
Directed by Jade Castro, My Big Love is a simple yet romantic story of an obese pastry chef named Macky, played by the ever delicious hunk Sam Milby, who fell in love to socialite columnist Niňa, a character played by Kristine Hermosa. Macky was Niňa constant secret admirer; sending her various pastries and flowers. But when the latter insisted to see the first personally, she was shocked to see her admirer in his 300-pound glory.
This is where Aira, played by Toni Gonzaga comes to the rescue. As the ever-vibrant fitness instructor of Niňa, Aira offered her help to Macky and help him in losing weight. After several attempts of convincing him, Macky finally agrees to be her client. Along his process of losing weight, Macky and Aira gained love and affection for each other.
The two separate ways when Aira accepted an offer to work abroad. Two years after, and with Macky now having that to-die-for body and Niňa as his girlfriend, the two met realized they still in love with each other. And like any romantic comedy flick, the Macky and Aira eventually ended up together, leaving the viewers with that big smile on their face.
Yes, it’s as simple as that. Yet despite its simplicity, I never found the movie mushy or shallow at all, in fact you’d like to watch it again and again. I guess there’s a bias there since I’m a huge Sam Milby fan.

They’re here and ready to capture the hearts of the Filipinos. I am talking to Grammy Award winning rock band, Maroon 5.
Oh yes! The band lead by the cutie, Adam Levine finally arrives the Philippines for their one-night concert tonight, March 5 at the Araneta Coliseum. It was reported that at press time, all the good seats for the concert have already been sold out.
Wow! Super wow! If you can see me right now, you’d think I’ve gone mad very excited for the news when in fact I neither have a ticket nor the means to come for the concert. Well it’s the idea that “my” band and I will be on the same country. Oh I wish I can come but aside from the tickets being sold out, they’re all too expensive to afford for someone who just lost her job like me.
If you haven’t noticed it yet, I am a HUGE fan of the band! I fell in-love with them the first time I saw their video of “This Love” from their debut album, “Songs About Jane.” For a rock band, Maroon 5’s music is something one would want to listen to again and again; it ain’t noisy and loud. Genius!
Oooooh… I love them, I love them, I love them!

Having my PC reformatted just recently, most of my software and downloads has been re-installed. However, not all of them were brought back to my PC the way they were. Just like my Microsoft Photo Editor.
Probably one of my most loved program here in my PC, my Microsoft Photo Editor has been one big help in my various photo editing needs. For me, it was the perfect tool for computer idiots like me. This program has been so much help for putting tag lines on my Pop-C-Cles blog. But since my PC got reformatted as mentioned earlier, I have to go back from square one learning a new tool. – Photoshop.
Well while most people are really great fans of this “amazing” program, I remained to be a part of the few who would rather use Paint than Photoshop for the sole reason that it isn’t idiot friendly.
The first time I attempted to “experiment” on it, I was all in a mess! It was so damn hard to be in control of this program; so many tutorials to read and so many terms and things to get familiar with.
But oh well, impatient I may be, I summoned all the remaining patience in me to give this thing a little try.
And as a result of my trials and errors, here two of the photos I succeeded to manipulate:

I just came from a yet another job interview yesterday. This time it’s for a Tenant Relations Assistant position, well I’m not so positive for that interview actually. And it’s really frustrating thinking that I have to do this thing again and again until one company hires me.
Anyway, during the interview, one question asked was about where I see myself five years from now. So okay, that was some cliché that I answered with a not-so cliché answer; - having a stable job and pursuing another course.
But really, where do I see myself five years from now?
Hmmm… five years from now, I see myself living in my dream house. One that’s filled with contemporary furniture with rooms adorned with platform beds and glamorous living room furniture. By that time I’m already driving my own Malibu Chevy to take my Boom-boom to and fro his school.
Family? Well maybe by that time I’m already wearing my wedding band as I finally realized I’m already for the M word…
